Error message during BOM creation

When I select Price/BOM tab of Harness Builder window, I get an error: "Unable to write Excel Import settings to registry. Please check permissions and return."  in the message window.

I do get the BOM Settings page but when i go to place it i get a .NET framework Error message.

 

New to this software, running the latest version of Cable and Harness builder.

  Hi Wade,

   

  The solution is to create a new template and "Save Setting" like the picture below:

  For Example  Step 1., Type in zukenbom where it reads <Defaults>

                         Step 2. Select " Save Setting"

   

  This will elimanate the error message.

  You want to do the same for the Wirelist template as well. See pictures below:

  I am not familiar with how Harness Builder works, but if it is trying to write to the registry of the local machine, it won't be able to unless you have administrator privaledges on the computer being used.
