Text types for attributes of higher structure node?

How might I create text types in a symbol for a connector *A*, which is a component of a dynamically defined cable assembly *B*, such that when I place the symbol for connector *A*, the text types display attributes of the cable assembly *B*?

We currently do not have a structure for the device tree, but do for the sheet tree. I could create structure nodes for the device tree if it is possible to pull attribute values from a structure node a level or two above the connector *A.*

  I think you answered your own question.  Just manage you attribute owners so a attribute placed on structure node flows down to the connectors below it.  Then, just create new text tyoes that point to those attributes.

  FYI...the same structure nodes created for your sheet tree can also be used by the device tree.
