I see a lot of comments that refer to using commands within the database. What software do I need to be able to look at what a project database?

when you say project database, do you mean the library database (component, symbol, and configuration)?

if you mean the library database then it depends on how your library is set up. if using Oracle, then use the Oracle SQL Developer. if SQL Server, SQL Server Management Studio. if just using an MS Access database, then Access.

there's not much to be gained from accessing the database. the only times i've been in there were to run queries to find out if components had right set of attributes. if you don't know SQL then you probably shouldn't mess around with the database.

if you mean the database within the e3s file, i have no clue. not sure how that is set up.
