Exporting and Importing Database
Hi..
I want to put the components, symbols, schematic and all other files of a particular project in single/multiple file. What are all the file types I can use for exporting so that the file is accessible in any system which has ECAD and MCAD softwares.
Thank You.

Hi Anna,
There are many different options for exporting which include:
Drawing file (which is a e3p for the e3 product known as a part file)
DXF/DWG
EPLAN (EXF)
PDF
VRML
STEP
DGN
Web view
As an image
CGN

Thank u Admin.
But how the KBL (KabelBaumListe) format is useful among all other file types. I heard that KBL is xml coded and can be loaded in any system with all files(schematics, sheets, devices, symbols, etc.) into another CAD software. Whether KBL is best suited or other file types you mentioned will suit my needs???

Yes the KBL output is possible. This is the STEP output and is a cost option.

Hello I want to export my file in xml format to catia.
I use routing bridge for this.
but when I click export the error is : No cables or wires used.
I draw a connector and connect them with insert connection in E3 cables.

You need to add physical wire to your connection lines. You probably will want to contact Zuken for E3 training.
